Not every limousine and party company adheres to the safety regulations that are required by the industry. When they do not, they put every single passenger at risk. Below are some things that you need to know about limousine safety.

• Your selected limousine company should be registered with the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC). You can verify that this is the case by calling 800-894-9444.
• Ask the limousine company if they routinely drug test their drivers. Any company that truly cares about their passengers will do this.
• Ask to see the exact car that you will be using on the night of your event. Be sure that all inspections are up to date on that car or bus.
• If you are taking a bus, verify that the driver has the proper license to operate this type of vehicle. Ask to see a copy of the license.
• Do not leave valuables in the limousine.
• It is against the law for there to be alcohol in a limousine in which there are passengers under 21 years of age. This is for the safety of the passengers.
